Meet Information
TEAM TABITHA 5K and mile FUN RUN is a new race this winter with proceeds benefitting the Phalen-McDermid Syndrome Foundation and Tabitha's family for the modification of her bathroom. Phalen-McDermid Syndrome, or 22q13 Deletion syndrome, is the rare genetic disorder Tabitha was diagnosed with in August of 2010. It affects muscle tone, cognitive ability and causes the absence of speech. Only 600 cases are known worldwide. The 5k will run through scenic and hilly South Highlands, starting and finishing at the Brookshires/Giuseppe's parking lot on Line Avenue, Shreveport, LA. The Fun Run will be handicap-accessible to accommodate children with walkers, gait trainers and who utilize a wheelchair for mobility. All proceeds will be evenly split between Tabitha's family and the Phalen-McDermid Syndrome Foundation.

Fun run begins at 8am, 5k begins at 8:30am, Saturday Feb 11, 2012.
Where:
Race will start and finish in the Brookshires/Giuseppe's parking lot (north end) on Line Avenue.
