RUSTON -- Louisiana Tech sprinter Donesha Spivey has been named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week after her performance last week at the Bayou Bengal Invitational in Baton Rouge, La.

Spivey, a senior from Palm Bay, Fla., finished second in the long jump with a mark of 20-1.75 (6.14m) to tie her for 19th best in the nation. Spivey also posted a time of 7.44 in the 60m, good for second and an NCAA provisional mark to tie her for 20th in the country.

Tech's indoor track and field team will take the week off and return to action Feb. 10-11 at the Tyson Invitational at the Randall Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
