TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Nicholls men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up competing at the University of Alabama Crimson Classic and came away with 13th and 18th place team finishes.
In the largest meet this year for the teams, the women came away with the 13th place finish, as Jessica McLeodfinished 38th in 18:45.43 and Ingvild Vedde 45th in 18:51.09. Blaine Gisclair paced the men finishing in 28:38.74, followed by Sebie O'Neil's 29:15.33 and Kane Daigle who finished in 29:18.11.
Emily Charlesworth finished in 19:11.04, Tessni Carruthers in 19:25.72, Sarah Pressley in 20:49.04 and Ashley Johnson in 21:20.14 to round out the women's team.
Tyler Folse clocked in at 29:32.80, Reece Vitale in 29:58.73, Nic Benoit in 30:12.71 and Justin Babin in 30:44.60 for the men's runners.
The teams will be back in action in two weeks as the championship season starts with the Southland Conference meet hosted by Stephen F. Austin.
