PLANO, Texas -- The University of Louisiana-Monroe\'s Maya Aden and Amanda Bartlett have swept the Southland Conference\'s Aeropostale cross country athlete of the week awards after winning their races at the Louisiana Tech meet last weekend. Following is a look at their performances:
MEN
Maya Aden, So., Louisiana-Monroe
Aden won The Mook Five hosted by Louisiana Tech on Friday evening in Ruston. He won the five-mile race in a time of 26:22.09.
WOMEN
Amanda Bartlett, So., Louisiana-Monroe
Bartlett won The Mook Five hosted by Louisiana Tech on Friday evening in Ruston. She won the 5,000-meter race in a time of 20:18.06.
ULM is off this week, but will compete in two races next week - Monday, Oct. 3 at Northwestern State, and Wednesday, Oct. 5 against Louisiana Tech and Grambling in Ruston.
