Men Finish Seventh, Women Ninth at WAC Cross Country Championships

 MOSCOW, Idaho - Louisiana Tech wrapped up the 2010 season Saturday as Tech's men's team finished seventh and the women's team finished ninth at the WAC Cross Country Championships hosted by the University of Idaho in Moscow.

Matt Wolfe led the men's team with a 37th place finish and 8k time of 26:46.73 while Lauren Gilbert paced the women with a 53rd place finish and 5k time of 19:37.98. The pair has led LA Tech in every race they have competed in this season.

David Monroe finished second for the men with a time of 26:59.68 and a 42nd place finish while Josh Slocum placed third on the team with a time of 27:07.07, finishing 43rd overall.

Chelsea Dressel was second for Tech on the women's side with a time of 21:37.36 while Dana Ramstad was third for the Lady Techsters, running 21:56.72.

Louisiana Tech has likely concluded the 2010 season and next turns its attention to the 2011 indoor track and field season.
