LA Tech Men's Cross Country Wins Centenary Invitational

 SHREVEPORT, La. - Matt Wolfe and Lauren Gilbert both notched fourth place finishes individually as Wolfe led Louisiana Tech's men's team to a meet win at the Centenary Invitational Saturday morning. Gilbert paced the women's team to a fifth place finish.

Wolfe ran 25:51 in the 8k race and has led Louisiana Tech in every race this year. Tech posted runners in the 8-9-10 places with Josh Slocum running 26:18, Alwayne Greenrunning 26:28 and Steven Cortez rounding out the trio with a time of 26:32.

David Monroe finished 12th with a time of 26:49 and Jeff Boudreaux ran 26:57 to finish 13th to complete Tech's top five runners.

On the women's side, Gilbert's time of 23:36 in the 6k race led all Tech runners as she finished fourth. Chelsea Dressel ran 25:46 to finish 16th, Dana Ramstad finished 25th with a time of 26:42 and Mary Kate Hayes ran 26:42 to place 26th.

Tech returns to the courses on Oct. 22 for the Demon Invitational at Northwestern State before heading to Moscow, Idaho on Oct. 30 for the WAC Championships.
