TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - In just their second competition of the season, the Tulane cross country program continued to improve across the board at the Crimson Classic on Saturday (Sept. 18). One Green Wave men's runner and four women's competitors set new career-bests, while six newcomers on the women's team ran in their first collegiate meet.

"It was another good meet for our team," said Tulane head coach Eric Peterson. "I think you can look at these results and feel similar to our (Georgia Invitational) performance. We had a different pecking order in this meet, but it was good to see the kids compete well. They challenged not only against the field, but also were aware of the goal of our team. We are trying to have the most competitive lineup that we can and they are not shying away from the opportunity to better themselves from one week to the next."
