FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- LSU\'s men\'s cross country turned in an impressive performance at the Chile Pepper Festival Saturday, finishing fourth out of the 34-team field at Agri Park. The Lady Tigers placed 15th overall.

\"Since I have been at LSU this is the best we have ever done here,\" said LSU cross country coach Mark Elliott. \"This is one of the biggest meets in the country and to finish among the top three university teams is a great accomplishment. I couldn\'t be happier with how we competed.\"

Third-ranked Arkansas won the men\'s team title scoring 33 points. A team comprised of Arkansas alumni rallied for a second-place finish (80), while Rice (183), LSU (190) and Loyola-Chicago (193) rounded out the top five.
