A HAPPY JAYLEN JACKSON SPOKE WITH MILESPLIT LA AFTER A WIN AT PETE BOUDREAUX INVITATIONAL!
Congratulations to Hammond's Jaylen Jackson and Jonesboro Hodge's Ciara Gray. They are this week's MileSplit LA Performer Of The Week. Jackson won the MileSplit LA Boys' Performer Of The Week by a wide margin. He received 209 votes which accounted for a little over 76% of the total number of votes. Gray received 219 votes (51.44%).
Rummel's Nasir Ceazer was the runner-up in the boys' poll. Covington's Julia Jenkins was the runner-up in the girls' poll.
Jackson and Gray will now move on to compete for the MileSplit LA 2025 Outdoor Athlete Of The Year at the end of the season.
Gray made the ballot by winning four events--100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, long jump, and triple jump-- at Ruston's "Hoss" Garrett Relays. Jackson made the ballot by winning the 400m at the LHSCA Meet Of Champions.
