Hannah Boullion, Kaden Adams Win MileSplit LA Preseason AOTY

To say that 2025 has started off on a positive note for St. Louis High's Hannah Boullion and Central Lafourche's Kaden Adams would be an understatement. Both won MileSplit LA Preseason Athlete Of The Year honors last week.

Boullion won the girls poll with 4,947 votes. The runner-up was West Feliciana's Tristen Harris who had 2,524 votes. Adams won the boys' poll with an impressive 8.518 votes. The runner-up in the boys' poll was Parkway's Brennan Robin, who had 6,169 votes.

For Boullion, the good fortune actually started last month at the FasTrak HS Indoor Challenge in Houston where Boullion ran a time of 55.0 in the 400m. That time currently ranks No. 7 in the nation. It's also currently the fastest indoor 400m ever run by a Louisiana high school female athlete.

Boullion returned to Texas last week for the Texas A&M State Indoor Championships in College Station. While she did not perform as well as she would have liked in the open 400m, Boullion was able to put that behind her to anchor the St. Louis girls 4x400 to the second fastest indoor time in Louisiana history, 3:53.22-- second only to Scotlandville.

Adams opened his 2025 season at last Saturday's LSU HS Classic. He won with a throw of 54-10, only two inches off his indoor personal record of 55-0, which he threw last year to win his first state championship.
