STM'S CAMRYN HAIK WON THE D2 REGION 1 CHAMPIONSHIPS LAST WEEK
Here are the finalists for this week's MileSplit LA Girls' Performer Of The Week! Congratulations to all of the finalists, who won their regional meets. The winner will move on to compete for MileSplit LA Girls' XC Female Runner Of The Year at the end of the season. This poll will close on Saturday at 9pm.
EDEN DAWSEY (RUSTON)-- The freshman won the D1 Region 1 Championships with a time of 18:48.
MICHELLE DAIGLE (ST. JOSEPH'S BATON ROUGE)--Daigle picked up her sixth win of the 2024 with her win at the D1 Region 2 Championships. Daigle is the only the female runner in the state who broke 17:00 during regional meets in Louisiana.
GRACE KEENE (NORTHSHORE)--Keene joined Dawsey becoming the second freshman in Louisiana to win a D1 Regional. The newcomer from Northshore won the D1 Region 3 Championships with a time of 18:21.
CAMRYN HAIK (ST. THOMAS MORE)-- The defending LHSAA D2 state champion successfully defended her D2 Region 1 title from a year ago with a winning time of 18:40.
ELIZABETH RODRIGUE (E.D. WHITE)--After finishing as the runner-up at the District 8-4A Meet the week before, Rodrigue improved her time by nine second to win the D2 Region 2 Championships with a time of 20:00.
EMMA ALDANA (THE WILLOW SCHOOL)-- The future is bright for this seventh grader who won the D2 Region 3 Championships with a time of 18:59. She is the youngest athlete in Louisiana to win a regional title.
SYDNEY GUINN (ST. LOUIS HIGH)-- The senior Saint successfully defended her D3 Region 1 Championship by running a time of 19:58.
LUCY CRAMER (PARKVIEW BAPTIST)--After six-straight top ten finishes in 2024, Cramer got her first win of the season at the D3 Region 2 Championships with a time of 17:15, only three seconds off her personal record and season best at the SJA Invitational.
AVERY SUMMEROUR (NEWMAN)--Helped Newman sweep the individual titles at the D3 Region 3 Championships by winning the girls' race with a time of 20:56.
BRADIE EPPINETTE (ST. FREDERICK)--Won the D4 Region 1 Championships with a time of 19:03, that is 11 seconds faster than the time she ran at the same meet and same course a year ago.
KAITLYN SAWYER (HATHAWAY)--Successfully defended her D4 Region 2 Championship from a year ago with a time of 18:34, 19 seconds faster than her winning time in 2023.
COCO GOLDENBERG (METAIRIE PARK COUNTRY DAY)--Had a personal record by almost a full minute at the D4 Region 3 Championships to capture the regional title.
ALYSSA ROWE (SIMPSON)--In her first meet of the season, Rowe won the D5 Region 1 Championships with a time of 21:05.
REESE JEAN (EVANS)--Successfully defended her D5 Region 2 Championship title with a time of 20:09.
NOAH WATSON (CHRIST EPISCOPAL SCHOOL)--The two-time defending LHSAA D5 champion, Watson won D5 Region 3 Championship with a time of 19:28, 31 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor.
