WILLIAM DECUIR (4218) LEADS THE BEARS AT THEIR HOME MEET ON SATURDAY

JACKSON JARRETT (DAVID THIBODAUX STEM ACADEMY)-- The senior held off Alexandria Senior High's Matthew Crenshaw to win the SNL Invitational at Acadiana Park on Saturday morning. The time, 15:46, is a personal record 5K for Jarrett, who is the defending state champion in Division 2.
MATTHEW CRENSHAW (ALEXANDRIA SENIOR HIGH)--Crenshaw ran a 15:54 to finish as the SNL Invitational at Acadiana Park on Saturday morning. Crenshwa's effort helped his Trojans go back to Alexandria with the team title.
MICHAEL KELLER (PEARL RIVER)-- The defending district 7-4A champion won the Bruce O'krepki Memorial Invitational on Saturday in Hammon. Keller's time was 16:50.
ARCH CALLAHAN (ST. PAUL'S)-- Callahan finished third at Saturday's Bruce O'krepki Memorial Invitational. Callahan led St. Paul's to the team title as they beat Christ Episcopal School.
CONNOR FANBERG (JESUIT)--The junior had a personal record 15:06 personal record at the Pete Boudreaux '59 Catholic Invitational. It's the second personal record Fanberg has had this year. Fanberg ran a personal record 16:07 5K earlier this year. Fanberg led Jesuit to a runner-up finish.
WILLIAM DECUIR (CATHOLIC HIGH)--The future star ran a personal record 15:09 on Saturday at the Pete Boudreaux '59 Catholic Invitational at Highland Road Park on Saturday. It's a personal record for the sophomore, who was Catholic's No. 1 runner in their home meet. Decuir's time ranks No.2 in the sophomore class for the 2024 season behind Parkway's Brennan Robin. It also ranks No. 11 all-time on the Louisiana sophomore list.
CHEY BRIDGES (STERLINGTON)--Bridges ran a personal record 16:59 at the Holy Savior Menard Open. Bridges led the Sterlington to win in the meet. It was also a sweep for Sterlington, who also won the girls division.
JACKSON SOILEAU (SACRED HEART VILLE PLATTE)--The junior won the Holy Savior Menard Open with a time of 16:20.
PATRICK TRAINOR (BROTHER MARTIN)--Had a top ten finish for the Crusaders, who won the Pete Boudreaux '59 Catholic Invitational at Highland Road Park on Saturday. Trainor's time was a personal record 15:16. Trainor finished No. 7. It's Trainor second top ten finish in three outings in 2024. He finished fourth at the Bayou Boogie to open the season.
