IHIGHLAND BAPTIST'S TYLER BLISSETT SPRINTS TO THE LINE AT THE GULF COAST STAMPEDE

We have gone through the results and picked out some of the best performances from Week No.1 of the La. HS cross country season. Congratulations to of the finalists who made the ballot for MileSplit LA Boys' XC Performer Of The Week. The winner of this poll will move on to compete for MileSplit LA Boys' XC Runner Of The Year at the end of the season.

TYLER BLISSETT (Highland Baptist)--Blissett and his fellow Bears travelled to Pensacola, Florida for the Gulf Coast Stampede. Blissett finished third with a 5K time of 16:20. 

NOAH MOONEY (Brother Martin)--Mooney won St. Michael's Bayou Boogie with a three-mile time of 15:23.  Mooney also led Brother Martin to the team title. 

BEN BOUDREAUX (Ruston)--Boudreaux finished No. 5 at the Little Rock XC Classic running a 5K time of 16:52. Boudreaux's effort led the Bearcats to a team title. 

BRENNAN ROBIN (Parkway)--The sophomore won the The Opener in Clinton, Mississippi with a time of 15:40. That time was 50 seconds faster than his closest competition. Robin led the Panthers to victory as the Parkway scored 33 points---23 points better than Pearl High School. 

BRODY HUTCHISON (Benton)--Finished as the runner-up at the Bob Gravett Invitational in Arkadelphia, Arkansas with a 5K time of 16:27.

ANDERSON FRANK (Episcopal of Acadiana)--Opened up his senior campaign with a Top 15 performance at The Opener in Clinton, MS. Frank ran a 5K time of 17:09. Frank, who was Episcopal School of Acadiana's No. 1 runner, led his team to a ninth-place finish in the 46-team field.
