LHSAA State Outdoor Meet: Most Watched Videos...Class 5A!

SCOTLANDVILLE'S MAKERIAH HARRIS COMES THROUGH THE LINE OF THE GIRLS 4X400m

We close out our series on the most watched race videos from the LHSAA State Outdoor Meet with Class 5A. 

Boys' 5A 400m



John Curtis' King Taylor closed out a remarkable high school career by claiming his second consecutive state championship in the 400m. Taylor won with a time of 47.13. Parkway's Will Achee certainly made Taylor earn it. Achee finished as the runner-up with a season best time of 47.19. Catholic's Cameron Brazell was third with a 47.63. 

Girls' 5A 4x400 Relay


It was fitting that two of the best to ever do it worked together in their final race at an LHSAA State Meet. Scotlandville's Makeriah Harris and Sade Gray certainly did not disappoint, helping the Lady Hornets set a composite record in the girls' 4x400 with a time of 3:45.52. Other members of the relay included Layden Jack and Karlise Davison.

Two teams out of District 3-5A joined Scotlandville on the podium. Barbe was second with a time 3:52.24. Lafayette was third with a time of 3:55.74.
