MICHELLE DAIGLE (RIGHT) RAN A 2:15 IN THE 800m YESTERDAY AT THE DENHAM SPRINGS RELAYS.
Running the fastest time in the state is hard work. Just ask St. Joseph's Michelle Daigle, who ran a 2:15 to win the 800m at the Denham Springs Relays yesterday. For the first lap, Daigle was pushed by Dutchtown freshman Keira Melan . During the second lap, Daigle slowly pulled away before taking a peek over her left shoulder during the last 100m. It's the No. 1 time in Louisiana this year. We have the race video and other events in the link below.
Melan, who had the No. 2 time in the state during cross country, continues to have an excellent freshman campaign. She has a season best of 2:17.95 from the Griffin Relays during week No. 1. That time ranks No. 14 in the nation among all freshmen girls.
