CATHOLIC'S JOHNATHAN THOMPSON IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPROVED 3200m RUNNERS IN LOUISIANA
Newman's Maslen L'Esperance was the most improved 3200m runner in the state during the 2024 Louisiana High School Indoor season. L'Esperance has a personal best of 10:34 this season. It was an improvement of 1:19 over his best time last year. The only other runner in Louisiana to improve by more than a minute was Ruston's Joshua Daulton, who improved 1:02 since last year. Daulton's best time this season was 10:09. 

The biggest improvement from runners who broke the 10 minute barrier last year belongs to Parkview Baptist's
Aiden Monistere. Monistere improved 38 seconds from last season's best time of 9:54. Monistere ran the No. 2 all-time 3200m at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier earlier this month. His 9:16.64 was just off Rhen Langley's composite fieldhouse record.
