US No. 1, 60H - Scotlandville's Makeriah Harris

Harris opened up her season at the FasTrak Athletix High School Indoor Meet in Houston, Texas. If anyone was worried that her recruitment, which ended in early December when she signed a National Letter of Intent with LSU, might cause her to come out of the blocks slow during her senior year at Scotlandville, Harris put those fears to rest by running a nation-leading time of 8.50 in the 60m hurdles.
