POLL: Vote On MileSplit LA's Girls XC Performer of the Week!

C.E. BYRD'S JENNA KEY (PURPLE) COMPETES IN SATURDAY'S SOUTHERN SHOWCASE. 



Here are the finalists for the MileSplit LA Girls' XC Performer of the Week. The poll will close on Saturday on 9pm. Congratulations to all of the runners who made the ballot.

LAST WEEK: Benton's Claire Allen was the MileSplit LA Girls' XC Performer of the Week for week No. 2 after getting 44% of the vote. Mt. Carmel's Catalina Reichard was second with 28%.

EMMA BIELKIEWICZ (WEST OUACHITA)- Finished second to St. Fred's Bradie Eppinette at the Warhawk Invitational. Bielkiewicz ran a 19:56, only seven seconds behind Eppinnette. It's Bielkiewicz's second consecutive runner-up finish. She finished second at the Aggie Invitational to open the season. 

EMBER PIERCE (PARKWAY)- After finishing third at her home meet-Parkway's Border Dash-Pierce picked up the first win of her career at the Huntington Raider XC Invitational. Pierce's time was 20:06 was a personal record and 11 seconds better than her season opening performance. 

LEAH VARISCO (ACADEMY OF SACRED HEART NO)- Varisco won the BSN Invitational by over 1:30. Varisco's time (18:37) is also over a minute faster than her winning time in the same meet a year ago. 

SYDNEY GUINN (ST. LOUIS)- The junior won the McNeese St. Two Miler with a time of 12:59.

JENNA KEY (C.E. BYRD)- While her team opened last week in impressive fashion at the Border Dash, Key was taking the ACT. Key led the Jackets on Saturday at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, AL. She finished No. 30 with a time of 18:55.
