With the start of the 2023 season, it's time to identify a few MileSplit LA Future Stars. There were plenty in action during week No. 1. Here are few we have identified.
JOSHUA MCCARTHY (CEDAR CREEK) - The freshman finished No. 10 at the Choudrant Aggie Invitational with a time of 18:38. He was the No. 5 runner for the Cougars who won the team title.
TALAN SIEVERS (LAFAYETTE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY) - Looking for a candidate to post the fastest time for freshmen in Louisiana this year? Sievers would be a smart bet. The LCA freshman ran a 16:28 to finish No. 7 at the Bayou Boogie.
PRESTON PARKER (RUSTON) - The young Bearcat ran a time of 18:46 at The Opener in Clinton, Mississippi. He finished at No. 60, but was the No. 11 runner for a Ruston team which finished second.
KEEGAN MARTIN (HOLY CROSS)- The freshman finished No. 35 at the Mobile Challenge of Champions with a time of 19:05. Only two other freshmen had faster times in the MCOC invitational.
TILLMAN ROBICHAUX (E.D.WHITE)- The E.D. White freshman ran a 17:20 and finished No. 6 at the Eddie Cole Classic.
Congratulations to all of the runners for making the ballot. The poll will close at 9pm on Saturday. As always, thank you for voting!
