VOTE: MileSplit LA Boys' Performer of the Week! (Feb. 5- Feb. 11)

RHEN LANGLEY (ZACHARY)- For the second time in as many weeks, Langley broke a Carl Maddox Fieldhouse composite record. Last Saturday, it was Eric Coston's 3200m record. Langley ran a 9:16.10.

MONTRELL MORRIS (DUTCHTOWN) The Dutchtown horizontal jumper is becoming a MileSplit LA poll regular. He was our Week No. 1 POTW, thus making last week's Athlete of the Month poll. But we are are starting a new month and Morris showed out at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier, jumping 23-4.25--a US#19 mark. 

GABRIEL DUPUIS (LAFAYETTE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY)- Dupuis joined the 15ft club with his winning vault (15-0.75) at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier. Other members of the club include St. Louis' Mason Abshire and St. Thomas More's Jonathan Woods. 

JACKSON BURNEY (CALVARY) The defending LHSAA Class 1A 800m state champion won his specialty at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier. Look for the sophomore to join the sub 2:00 club at the LHSAA State Indoor Meet. 

BRYAR MADDEN (RUSTON) - Last spring. Madden ran a 4:26.84 to finish third in the Region I-5A Meet and qualify for state. Last Saturday, Madden ran a 4:26.87 to win the LSU Last Chance Qualifier. The LA Tech signee looks to go out with bang in his last semester as a Ruston Bearcat.

RA'HJI DENNIS (EDNA KARR) Promised to "put on a show" in his 2023 debut and the junior did not disappoint, winning the 60m with a time of 6.86. Dennis said he has been putting in the work in the weightroom and it showed in his explosiveness coming out of the blocks last Saturday at Carl Maddox.
