POLL: Who will be the LHSAA D-I Girls' State Champion?

MCA COACH CASEY KEISER TALKS ABOUT HIS TEAM'S DI REGION 3 CHAMPIONSHIP LAST WEEK
Mt. Carmel  coach Casey Keiser has the fastest sophomore and the fastest freshman in the state with Catalina Reichard and Stella Junius. Both rank in the top five in Division I, with Reichard's 17:43.60 at the St. Joseph's Invitational at the top of the rankings.
Despite that star power, MCA will get in line on Monday, November 14th at the LHSAA State Cross Country Championships to knock off St. Joseph's Academy, which is the heavy favorite to win for the seventh consecutive year. The Stickers are a three-headed monster with juniors Hannah Vaughan, Elise Brown, and Michelle Daigle.
Like MCA, the Ruston Lady Bearcats would love nothing more to knock off the Stickers and send the defending Class 5A state champion and Gatorade Athlete of the Year Lily Garrett out on a high note in her last in-state cross country race before she continues her career at the University of Tennessee.
If you like long shots, we have a couple of girls to keep your eye on. Alexandria's Raegan Monroe and Central Lafourche's Camryn Falgout.
