Performance: Thomsen put down some impressive performances over the weekend at the Dublin Distance Fiesta, clocking new overall personal record times of 4:49.02 and 10:14.46 in the 1,600m and 3,200m, respectively.
Those performances are well in a league of their own, only trailing the phenom Sadie Engelhardt of Ventura High School in the freshman class.
In fact, Thomsen's performance in the 3,200 is 15 seconds faster than the next-best freshman, while her 1,600m is six seconds ahead of the third-ranked first-year athlete.
