Warren Easton's Leon Elloie - opened his season with 6.80 (US#9). 6.82 in prelim at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier. He is the defending Class 4A champion outdoors in the 100 meters (10.33+1.3) and 200 meters (21.05+1.6)

Slidell's Jayden Averhart - Averhart soared above the competition at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier. He won with a jump of 6-6. No other jumper in the competition cleared 6-0. 

Ouachita's Jeremy Nelson - Made a statement in the boys triple jump at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier on his first jump with a massive PR of 48-0. Nelson used the momentum and adrenaline from the jump to go even further. Before he did, he got the crowd clapped up to help him bust a 49-8, which is US#4. In Louisiana, he moved ahead of Oklahoma signee Brandon Green from Ruston.

Captain Shreve's Marquez Stevenson -- Stevenson continues to impress during his first indoor season. He is the only 400 meter runner in Louisiana to break the 50 second barrier. He ran a 49.17, over a second faster than his nearest competitor.


SHREVE'S MARQUEZ STEVENSON TALKS ABOUT THE LSU LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER

Mandeville's Nathan Fontan -- Won both the 1600 meters (4:23.51) and 3200 meters (9:31.58) at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier. His 1600 meter time at the meet was LA#2 and his 3200 meter time was LA#1.

Dutchtown's Cole Martin - Martin participated in the LSU Track and Field Camp. He is one of the top returning javelin throwers in the state.
