Bulldogs Go Undefeated in Mook 4 Triple Dual Meet

RUSTON--It was a cloudy, overcast day, but the bad weather held off as the Bulldog Cross Country team went 3-0 in the Mook Four Triple Dual Meet at Lincoln Parish Park Saturday morning.

The teams competing in the four mile course along with Tech were McNeese State, Northwestern State, Grambling, Tulane, Centenary and Louisiana College.

The triple dual matched the Bulldogs up with Tulane, Northwestern State and Grambling. Tech would top all three teams and were led by sophomore Josh Slocum who finished seventh overall with a time of 21:52. Finishing right behind Slocum in eighth was Jack Ramstad with a time of 21:53. In ninth with a time of 21:57 was Tech's Kyle Davis. Finishing in 13th and 16th respectively was Matt Wolf and Adam Carlisle with times of 22:13 and 22:26. Jermaine Morris rounded out the finishers for Tech in 20th with a time of 22:43. There were 48 competitors in the race.

On the women's side the Techsters would finish the triple dual 0-3. Leading the Techsters on the two mile course was Chelseas Dressle who finished 28th out of 57 with a time of 13:44. Finishing in 37th was Kristen Loy who crossed the line at 14:56. Finishing 40th and 41st for Tech were track stars Stacia Hanneman at 16:07 and Shante Benion at 16:08. Rounding out the top five for the Techsters was Lauren Gilbert who finished 42 with a time of 16:25.
 

 

 

The Bulldog cross country team will retun to action Sept. 19 when they travel to Starkville, Miss. for the Mississippi State Invitational while the Techsters will travel Natchitoches, La. for the Northwestern State Invite.
