Tulane Track & Field Wraps LSU Relays

BATON ROUGE - Zandria Debowles turned in another NCAA regional qualifying mark in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing as the top collegian in the event as the Tulane outdoor track & field team wrapped competition at the LSU Relays Saturday.
DeBowles, a sophomore from Marietta, Georgia, turned in a 1:00.56 in the 400-meter hurdles finals, just 0.05 slower than her NCAA qualifying time Friday in the prelims. She finished second overall, behind onl LSU Tiger Olympian Nickeisha Wilson.
Senior Katarina Busljeta finished second in the discus, with a toss of 45.76 meters. Her hammer throw was fifth, with a distance of 51.05, a Tulane record, on Friday.
After a fifth-place showing in the prelims, the Tulane 4x100 team finished fifth in the finals, with a time of 46.17. Tulane's 4x400 relay team also placed fifth, turning in a time of 3:45.
Freshman Jessica Barker finished 23rd in the 1500-meter run, with a time of 6:13.
Freshman Raquelle Collins placed 14th in the long jump with a distance of 5.41 meters.
