Jones Featured on 'Runner's World' Cover

BATON ROUGE -- Former Lady Tiger star and 2008 Olympian Lolo Jones has quickly become one of the more recognizable faces in the sport of track and field, and she will make history next month with her appearance on the cover of Runner’s World.

Jones will become the first woman to grace the cover of the magazine’s yearly issue featuring abs and core training. The issue is set to hit newsstands in February.

“I’m very excited because today I just did the cover for Runner’s World ab magazine,” said Jones in a video featured on the magazine’s homepage. “Keeping in shape for a professional athlete is mandatory. It’s part of my job. I’ve incorporated more core movements in my workouts, did more abs off the track and after track meets. This is the first year I’ve really felt at the top of my game.”

After winning the 2008 World Indoor title in the 60-meter hurdles, Jones earned the right to run at the Olympic Games for the first time in her career with her dominating performance in winning the 100-meter hurdles at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore.
