Ladies and Gents Competed at the Chile Pepper

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.Led by Brittany Wilkens and Adam Nerio, the Centenary cross country teams competed at the nationally regarded Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday morning. The Ladies finished the 6K run in 38th place, while the Gents closed out at the 10K race in 28th.

 

For the women, Wilkens finished in 229th place (25:24.42) and behind her was Cara Miccoli (25:45.86), who ended her morning in 240th. Natalie Holcomb (26:17.98) was just under a minute behind Miccoli, but finished in 253rd place.

 

Also running for the Ladies was Mellynn Baker (26:52.25), who came in 268th place, while Jacquelyn Batson (27:16.08) and Jessica Brown (27:19.54) finished right behind each other in 275th and 276th place. The final Centenary runner was Sunny Lagrone (27:46.50), who was the 284th runner to cross the finish line.

 

The Gents top runner was Nerio (34:30.02), who finished the race in 187th place, while Adam Walton (35:13.59) was close behind in 206th. The next Centenary runner to cross the line was Robert Poole (36:54.47), who finished in 233rd place.

 

The final three runners for the Gents were Michael Hydel (37:02.97), Chris Patterson (37:58.13) and Jonathan Martin (38.11.97), who finished in 236th, 244th and 247th place respectively.

 

Centenary’s next action will be in two weeks at The Summit League Championship Meet in Shreveport
