McNeese State sophomore Tinette Burger has been named the Southland Conference female cross country runner of the week.
She was honored for her victory at last week’s Azaela Classic in Mobile, AL. She won the 5K race in an 18:67 clocking.
This is the third runner of the week honor for the South African native during her career at McNeese. Last year she won two awards after winning races.
Named the male runner of the week by the conference was Henry Rop of Southeastern Louisiana. He finished second in the men’s event in Mobile.
