Duo of Distance Runners Shines on Day One of Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas -- Louisiana Tech distance runners Kinsey Dinnel and Cory Denstel started the 81st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium Wednesday evening the right way with a couple of nice finishes.
"I'm proud of these kids," Tech head coach Gary Stanley said. "They started the meet off right. It's good to see two kids from Louisiana do this well."
Denstel took first place in men's 1500 meter run with a time of 3 minutes, 52.12 seconds while Dinnel finished second in the men's 3000 meter steeplechase with a mark of 9:13.05.
