ULL Ladies Compete at Chile Pepper Festival

  FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.-Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns women’s cross country team competed at the Chile Pepper Festival Saturday. The team finished 32nd. The Cajuns scored 871 points to put them just ahead of instate rival Louisiana-Monroe who finished 33rd.  Casey Brown was the top finisher for the Cajuns placing 142nd overall. Brown finished the race with a time 23:59.8. Paula Parker placed 173rd with a time of 24:43.7, and Jasmine Collins finished 177th with her time of 24:47.2.  Callie Picou and Suzanne Boudreaux both finished in the top 200 placing 179th and 200th respectively. Picou had a time of 24:49.5, and Boudreaux finished with a time of 25:25.4. Lindsey Mertens and Tiffany Saltzman also competed for the Cajuns. The Cajuns will compete in the Sun Belt Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 27. The meet will be held in Bowling Green, Ky.
