Bartlett Named Sun Belt Conference Runner of the Week

MONROE, La. --- ULM cross country senior Amanda Bartlett was named Runner of the Week by the Sun Belt Conference after leading the Warhawks in the Louisiana Tech Invitational as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. "Amanda Bartlett ran really well for us," ULM cross country head coach Toby Reep said. "She is one of two seniors on our team and is handling the leadership role she is in very well. She did what was expected of her this weekend and set us up for a good showing as a team." Bartlett was the highest finishing Warhawk in the race, posting a time of 15:31 in the 4K race at Lincoln Parish Park in Ruston, La. The Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada native, was one of four Warhawk runners who finished in the meet's Top-10 and one of five who finished in the Top-15. Behind Bartlett's efforts, the ULM women's team finished the triple-dual scored tournament by sweeping their opponents. On the men's side, the Warhawks went 1-1-1 against the field and were led by junior Andrew Opata.  The Warhawk cross country teams are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 9:15 a.m. when they host the field at the ULM Warhawk Invitational at Chenault Park and Golf Course
