Next Race: The Gold Rush will open the 2007 season on Friday, Aug. 31 in the Tulane Green Wave Invitational at City Park in New Orleans. Men and women will race two miles. The women's race will start at 5 p.m. CDT, followed by the men's race at 5:30. Tulane University is the host.
City Tour: The Tulane Green Wave Invitational will be the first meet in New Orleans for Xavier's men since the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championships on Oct. 25, 2003. Xavier will race twice in New Orleans this year; the other time will be Saturday, Sept. 15 in the Big Easy Invitational at Audubon Park. Xavier and its GCAC and city rival, Loyola, will be the Big Easy hosts.
