FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – A day after finishing as the third-best collegian in the men's 200 meter dash, Northwestern State's Ravyn Hayward ran an NCAA provisional time of 6.74 in the 60-meter dash for a second place finish in the final day of the Razorback Indoor Invitational here Saturday.
Hayward was beaten out by Arkansas' J-Mee Samuels who was clocked at 6.73.
"That is a phenomenal time," said NSU head coach Leon Johnson. "But I know he's going to run faster as the season goes on."
Other top 10 finishes for NSU came from the Lady Demons.
Shanae Steward ran a 8.71 for a fifth place finish in the 60-meter hurdles while Naumy Bor placed 10th in the 3,000 meters.
