Details

1

St. Joseph's Academy

SJA Cross Country Invitational1St. Joseph's got to show off at its home meet, claiming first with just 42 points. Michelle Daigle led the team with her very first sub-18-minute performance and was followed up by two others to secure three total in the top ten.
2

Episcopal

3Episcopal comes in with the trifecta of middle schoolers that all finished within the top eleven. Not only did they run well, but efforts from Mia Pulliam and Rebekah Reid resulted in season bests for them as well. With three of the best runners in the state on the same team, led by veterans of the sport, Episcopal is looking to be a sincere challenger to St. Joseph's Academy and Ruston.
3

Ruston

Garmin MileSplit TX XC Invitational2
4

Mt. Carmel

4Mt. Carmel impresses once more with all-around personal or season bests. This team continues to improve and justifies itself as one of the best in the state. The question remains, however, of how much more successful would the program be with the addition of Stella Junius.
5

E.D. White

6E.D. White continues to improve upon previous results. More and more season and personal bests roll in, especially from the likes of Caroline Molaison. She managed to shed about a minute from her previous season's best.
6

C.E. Byrd

C.E. Byrd October Invitational25This was a GIANT step up for C.E. Byrd. Everyone on this team put together an impressive performance and justified themselves to be considered one of the best in the state. We saw some substantial improvements from previous meets from some individuals, as well as, squeezing six of the team's runners into the top eleven. Byrd won its home meet with just 19 points.
7

Vandebilt Catholic

8A collective of personal and season bests, ideal weather, and stout competition creates the perfect weekend for Vandebilt. This team has seen pushbacks to success in the past, but it looks to be coming back.
8

Dominican

5Dominican performed well but was also faced with some average performances. Of course, we did still see some season bests, but it was not much different from what we have seen from this team in the past. Although, there were some improvements by about 30 seconds on these runners' previous season bests.
9

St. Thomas Aquinas

7This was a moderate performance by STA. Nothing surprising, but worse from what we've seen. This meet more so proves consistency rather than progression, which is still great for this program considering it's one of the best in the state.
10

Lafayette High

11This was a significant win for Lafayette. The majority of its runners ran personal bests and the team scored a 10th place finish overall after a tie-breaker with Academy of Sacred Heart. The amount of time dropped by each runner is very impressive when put into perspective from the team's previous 3-mile race.
11

Academy of Sacred Heart NO

16Much like Lafayette, this was a huge win for this program. Each runner dropped a significant amount of time, most of which were in terms of personal bests. This was a great transition into the fall season for this team
12

St. Martin's Episcopal

14All looks to be coming together for St. Martin's. This team all ran season bests and looks to be coming together more and more as a group. Especially from Kaitlyn Hall who has been improving drastically each meet.
13

St. Thomas More

ESA Ain't No Shade12St. Thomas More stole not only the team title but the individual title as well. This meet was amazing for STM, but it wasn't terrible. It can be debated if this was an improvement or worse because there were some aspects of this race that were give-and-take.
14

St. Scholastica

19St. Scholastica moves up the ranks after its top runners drop some serious time and score 11th as a team. The rate of improvement for these girls is truly impressive and this team definitely deserves some recognition.
15

Metairie Park Country Day HS

Country Day Cajun Classic15Metairie Park easily won its home meet and placed four of its runners within the top ten on top of scoring just 23 points. This race was great for this team mainly due to the success of its fifth runner, Margo Thionville.
16

University Lab School

10University Lab showed out by taking 12th place in such a competitive field. Not only that but the majority of the team's top scorers improved by about an entire minute from their previous performances.
17

Walker

20Walker is continuing to experience success with the further development of its athletes. We saw plenty of improvement in the majority of the team's runners and if they didn't PR, then they at least ran close to it. or at least scored a season-best.
18

Cedar Creek

C.E. Byrd October Invitational21Cedar Creek took 2nd to C.E. Byrd and boasted a plethora of season bests. The Cougars managed to place three of its runners within the top ten and are definitely on an upward trend. This team has done nothing but improve after every meet.
19

Newman

Cedar Creek Wallace Martin Invitational17
20

Dutchtown

13This was more of an average or above average performance for Dutchtown's top runners, but a very productive day for the latter of the top five. We didn't see much change from LeGarth, Fereday, or Latkovitch, but runners like Zoe Gros and Keagan Merritt both had great days on the grass.
21

ARCA

Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival9ARCA took part in the challenging course of Fayetteville, Arkansas. These times were not fantastic in comparison to the previous performances of ARCA, but this course is also incredibly narrow and has a tendency for having large amounts of dust kicked up into the air. This could very well be an outlier mark.
22

Benton

Garmin MileSplit TX XC Invitational18
23

Parkway High School

24Much like the boys' team, Parkway experienced great success. The entirety of the team's top scorers either recorded a personal or season best and the team claimed a respectable 15th place finish.
24

Parkview Baptist

23Parkview Baptist continues the upward trend of the program as the entire team records season bests. The team finished 16th, with a small displacement in team score away from Parkway. This team surprisingly improves at almost every single meet, so who knows if this trend will continue until the state meet.
25

Teurlings Catholic

ESA Ain't No Shade26Teurlings is continuing to experience great improvement with its girls' program. We are still seeing consistent improvement among these runners week by week.
26

Slidell

30As we progress throughout the season, Slidell continues to improve. There has been consistent improvement among all of its runners and thanks to the ideal conditions of this race, it contributed even more so to this team's trend of improving at every site of competition.
27

Mandeville

NRMandeville makes a return on this list after placing 18th, narrowly edging out Louise S. McGehee. All five of Mandeville's top runners either PR'd or had a season-best
28

St. Fredrick

Cedar Creek Wallace Martin Invitational22
29

Louise S. McGehee

27Louise S. McGehee does it again, having almost all of its top runners garner a new personal best and place 19th as a team.
30

St. Michael

28St. Michael closed out the day with a respectable 22nd place finish at this extremely competitive meet and even had the entirety of its top scorers bring home a season-best. This was another great showing for St. Michael and garners the team some momentum.

Just missed: Hathaway, Barbe, Fontainebleau
