Q: Who do you look up to as an inspiration to your running?

A: I look up too my dad who was a state champion in cross country, indoor and outdoor track, and he also ran track in college; and I look up to Sanya Richards-Ross, 400 meter Olympian.


Q: Up to this point in your running career, what has been your most memorable moment?

A: The most memorable moment of my running career would have to be my sophomore year when I won state in the 800 and broke the state composite record!


Q: You and your team are projected to do very well this upcoming year. What do you do in order to stay grounded and focused on achieving your goals?

A: I try to keep reminding myself we have the opportunity to do big things this year, and I also try to help keep my teammates focused and remind them about the BIG goal!


Q: If you only had one song to listen to before your race, which would it be?

A: I would defiantly put "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten on repeat!!


Q: What is your favorite workout?

A: My ABSOLUTE favorite workout would be an all out 600 followed up by an all out 200!


Q: Are you interested in running after high school and if so, what are you looking for a in school in order to determine if it is the right fit for you?

A: Yes sir I am definitely wanting to run after high school! I would like for the school to have a good running program that can take our team to the NCAA championship, a good dietary curriculum, teammates with positive attitudes and a place that is a good fit for me.


Q: What meets are you looking forward to the most this year?

A: SPS's Money Hill meet (I love that course), state, and all the indoor and outdoor track meets!!!


Q: What is your pre-meet or pre-race routine that you like to follow?

A: Before my race I get mentally ready. I visualize my race over and over while I listen to my pump up music! I make sure I keep drinking water water water, nonstop. Lastly right before I go to the line I give my mother and father a kiss on the cheek, run to the line and say a quick prayer.


Q: How many days a week do you run?

A: I run everyday of the week!


Q: And lastly, what food do you crave most after a hard workout or a race?

A: I crave a Chick-Fil-A sandwich, order of nuggets, and a fry after hard runs or races.
