LSU Alumni Gold 2009

   Baton Rouge, La. – Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns competed at the LSU Alumni Gold meet this past weekend in Baton Rouge, La. The meet featured several past Olympians and some of the best runners in the nation. UL’s Chris Roy again won the pole vault. He won the meet with a height of 5.25m which came up just short of the school record.

  BATON ROUGE, La. – Highlighted by Sadrina Shaw’s victory in the 400m hurdles, the ULM track & field team continued its outdoor season on Saturday afternoon in Baton Rouge, La., at the LSU Alumni Gold event.

  Competition for McNeese State’s track and field athletes begins on Thursday of this week with multi-athletes Lindsay Brooks, Kayla Fontenot and Jim Marcantel kicking things off at the LSU Alumni Gold meet.

 BATON ROUGE - Senior Keriann Langley won the 1500-meter run, and Tulane set eight personal bests at Saturday at the LSU Alumni Gold at Bernie Moore Track Stadium. Sophomore Zandria Debowles (400), and junior Olivia Kizzee (100) added NCAA Regional Qualifying marks for the Green Wave.  

   BATON ROUGE - The Southeastern Louisiana University track teams posted another trio of NCAA Mideast Regional performances and the Lions and Lady Lions finished strong as the LSU Alumni Gold came to a conclusion on Saturday in Baton Rouge

  BATON ROUGE — Northwestern State hurdler Mike Hill made a bid to crack the national top 20 rankings Saturday at the LSU Alumni Gold track and field meet, running a third-place 13.95 in the invitational division of the 110 meter hurdles.

  A first place effort by Ben Chretien in the javelin at Baylor’s Michael Johnson classic highlighted track and field efforts by McNeese State on Saturday.

  RUSTON--The Louisiana Tech Track and Field team showed they belonged this weekend at the Alumni Gold Invitational in Baton Rouge, La. as they recorded eight regional qualifying marks while competing against some of the nation's best.

   BATON ROUGE -- With many of the nation’s premier athletes making the trip to Baton Rouge on Saturday to compete in the annual LSU Alumni Gold, the LSU track and field teams expected quite a show at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium in their final home meet of the 2009 season.
