Holy Savior Menard Open 2021

Dear Coach:

We hope you can join us this year for the Menard Open Cross Country races! The meet will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. In 2014, the old Cenla Champs race was renamed the Menard Open, and is now open to all Louisiana schools. Over the past several years the Menard Open has had over 20 schools participate each year! We hope the turn out this year will be even greater, while maintaining safety for all! The time schedule for the meet is as follows:

 3:00 PM--Varsity Girls (3 Miles)

3:45: PM--Varsity Boys (3 miles)

4:15 PM--Junior Varsity Boys/Girls (3 Miles)

The races will be held at the Fort Buhlow Recreation Area at the Pineville Municipal Airport behind Lake Buhlow.The entry fee is $50.00 per gender ($100 per school There will be three races. There will be trophies awarded for the top two teams in the Varsity race, and the top team in the JV race. Medallions to the top 15 individual finishers will be awarded in the boys' and girls' varsity and junior varsity races. The races will be automatically timed using RFID Bib Tags. Due to the rising cost of these tags we ask that coaches PLEASE RETURN any unused tags for athletes that do not end up attending the meet.  

We will be running a new course this year that no longer includes the asphalt trail but does include two short road crossings. Spikes are now appropriate for the entire course.
