East St. John High hosts the 2020 River Parishes Crosscountry Championship
on Saturday, October 24, 2020. Our twenty-second annual competition in St.
John Parish offers your team an opportunity to challenge local teams as
well as face some historic rivals.
The Girls Varsity race will begin at 8:30 am and the Boys Varsity will run at 9:30 am. This year we will run the 2 mile Girls middle school race (8th and under) at 10:15 am and a Boys Middle School (8th and under) at 10:45 am. There will be an unscored JV/ Open race at 11:15 am.
The race will be held at the park next to the St. John Parish Library and the St. John Parish Convention Center. High School athletes race a fast 1.5 mile loop with one small hill and spectators can see the runners throughout the course. A championship trophy will be awarded for theBoys and Girls divisions and the top fifteen will receive Championship T-shirts. There will be no awards ceremony due to Covid-19 guidelines, but T-shirts will be given to the top 15 athletes as they finish their race. Coaches can pick up team trophies and individual awards at the conclusion of all races or they will be mailed out
