Meet Information

Hahnville HS will host their 5th series meet at Hahnville HS on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Each event will have maximums on: 1) teams involved, 2) entries based on the current COVID-19 operating phase, and total # of runners across events.

Under Phase 2 rules we plan to run 25 runners/race with strict distancing and safety guidelines. Races will be configured 3-5 teams, depending on how many runners from each school we designate to run. (i.e. 3 schools / race = 7-8 runners / school OR 5 schools / race = 5 runners / race)

Under Phase 3 rules we plan to run 50 runners/race with strict distancing and safety guidelines. Races will be configured to have more teams, depending on how many runners from each school we designate to run. (i.e. 7 schools / race = 7 runners / school OR 4-5 schools / race = 10-12 runners / race)

We plan to host Girls and Boys Varsity, Combined Open and Combined JV races with minimum 30 minute intervals between each race as per safety mandates.

Week #5 Event Schedule:

o 8:00am - 3 mile Boys Varsity (runners have from end of race to 9:14am to leave site as per LHSAA guidelines)

o 9:00am - 3 mile Girls Varsity (runners have from end of race to 10:14am to leave site as per LHSAA guidelines)

o 10:00am - 2-3 mile Girls/Boys Open* (runners leave site as per LHSAA guidelines)

o No Awards Ceremony (awards sent to schools after event)



Info sheets, course maps, site guides will be sent prior.

Coaches collaboratively to manage starts and finishes-no timing system.

Race bibs will be issued for each runner, video at the finish line to confirm results.

As per LHSAA Fall sports guidance, we would ask 2 spectators per athlete max. ALL attendees masked up with appropriate face coverings, except runners DURING warm-ups, races, and any cool down as long as they are active.

Site to be organized teams with teams/packet pick-up in set areas on campus, separate from spectators.
