Airline XC Festival 2019
Coaches,
Wed like to extend an invitation to you and your team to the
2019 Airline XC Festival!!
WHEN: Saturday, September 21st, 2019
WHERE: Oakland Plantation Country Club
2220 LA Highway 2 Plain
Dealing, LA 71064
REGISTRATION FEE: $70 per school. $10 per athlete if less than 7 runners entered.
Checks payable to: Airline Cross Country.
REGISTRATION DETAILS:
High school and middle school coaches must email entries to: eva.burley@bossierschools.org.
Must include each athlete's name, gender, and grade*****
Any high school or middle school athlete not entered via email by 12:00 noon, Wednesday,
Sept.18th, can enter the open division by registering race day.
Open Division runners all enter race day between 6:30-7:30 a.m. At the
registration table. $10 per athlete.
EVENTS:
POW/MIA Open 5k 7:45 a.m. **(50% of entry fee will go to POW/MIA)**
High School Girls 5k 8:30 a.m.
High School Boys 5k 9:15 a.m.
Middle School Girls 2 mile 10:00 a.m.
Middle School Boys 2 mile 10:45 a.m.
Elementary 1 mile (boys/girls combined) 11:15 a.m.
Open Race will begin at 7:45 a.m. All other race times are approximate. We will stay as close to
this schedule as possible.
PARTICIPANTS: Unlimited entries in each division. Only top 7 will be factored into team scoring in
high school and middle school races.
COURSE: all courses are single loops, with no repeat segments. Rolling Hills, mostly well
manicured grass, with dirt on wooded trail segments. Very spectator-friendly.
OTHER DETAILS:
Chip timing (high school, middle school, and open divisions)
Team Tent Area: on the clubhouse lawn by the starting line.
Parking: $5/vehicle
Awards: ceremony will begin at the conclusion of the elementary race.
o Champion and runner-up teams in high school and middle school races.
o Top 25 Individuals in high school divisions and top 10 individuals in open,
middle school and elementary divisions will receive custom award t-shirts. (Although the
races will be run simultaneously, open men and women and elementary girls and boys are
separate divisions.)
o There will be no team scoring in open or elementary divisions.
A variety of concessions will be available for purchase.
