Meet Information

Dear Coach:

I would like to invite you and your team to participate in this years Mount Carmel Academy Cub Run to be held Saturday, September 13, in New Orleans City Park. Last year, we had 1,500 athletes representing 64 teams.

There will be nine races: Non-scoring open elementary, girls and boys elementary, girls and boys junior high, girls and boys junior varsity, and girls and boys varsity. Each school may enter as many runners as they choose in all races except in girls and boys elementary where each school is limited to ten (10) runners. Only five (5) runners will count for team honors. To compete for team honors, the school must have five (5) runners finish the race. You may run fewer athletes if you do not wish to compete for team honors. The top ten (10) individual finishers in all races will be awarded invitational T-shirts.

7:00 AM Registration and packet pick-up
7:30 AM Girls Elementary School (grades 3-7) (10 runners max) 1.5 miles
8:00 AM Boys Elementary School (grades 3-7) (10 runners max) 1.5 miles
8:30 AM Open Elementary (unlimited entry) non-scoring 1.5 miles
9:00 AM Girls Varsity 3 miles
9:15 AM Elementary Awards Ceremony
9:35 AM Boys Varsity 3 miles
10:05AM Girls/Boys Junior High (grades 8-9) 2 miles
10:30 AM Girls and Boys Junior Varsity 2 miles
11:00 AM Awards Ceremony

FEES
An entry fee of $50 per school is required to help defray costs. Please make checks payable to Mount Carmel Academy. Pre-registration is required. Please read the enclosed page for further instructions.

DIRECTIONS FROM I-10 WEST
Enter City Park from Marconi Drive and turn RIGHT onto Harrison Avenue. The staging area (registration) is across from Harrison Avenue and Diagonal Road. Parking is allowed only on Diagonal Road or Harrison Avenue on the WESTERN side of Diagonal Road. (Please do not park on Harrison Avenue on the EASTERN side of Diagonal Road.)
