The Trafton Academy girls Junior High team captured the team title in Thursdays 2014 Tangi Cross Country Invitational held at Hammond Eastside in Hammond with a perfect team score of (15), followed by the Hammond Eastside Magnet School team with (49).  The Lady Eagles put seven runners in the top fifteen positions to earn team honors.

The Cross Country season is up and running and the St. Thomas Aquinas Cross Country team will be hosting the 24th Annual STA-S&S Sports Invitational on its campus in Hammond.  A total of 675 runners are entered in a total of twelve races to be contested on Saturday morning.

Trafton Academy Practice Meet Miguel Becerra Feb 17, 2014

The Trafton Academy girls and boys opened-up the outdoor track season on Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Hammond.  The Trafton team joined Mater Dolorosa and individuals from Holy Ghost,  Parkview Baptist,  Albany Elementary and Mandeville Junior High.  Eighth grader Dylan Dunaway and seventh grader Victor Harvey led the way for the Junior High boys team with some good opening marks.

First Baptist Freshman Gabrielle Jennings captured the Varsity girls three mile race with a winning time of (18:24) while STA’s Tommy Brocato captured the Varsity boys three mile race title in (16:45).

The Trafton Academy girls and the St. Paul's boys captured team titles in Wednesday's Ponchatoula HIgh-Trafton Academy Junior High Invitational held at the Swamp in Ponchatoula. Four local athletes earned MVP honors to lead their teams also. The Trafton girls scored (204) to take the title over Denham Springs JH(94), St. Scholastica Academy was third(82.50), St. Joseph's was fourth(57), Holy Ghost fifth(25), Harvest Christian sixth(12) and Mater Dolorosa seventh(9.50).  On the boys side, St. Paul's hauled in (231), while Denham Springs JH was second(106), Trafton Academy was third(57), Holy Ghost fourth(40), Harvest Christian fifth(34) and Mater Dolorosa sixth(12).

The Trafton Academy Junior High girls ended the 2011Cross Country season undefeated with a team victory in the Northshore Metro Cross Country Championships while the St. Paul’s boys scored a perfect team score of (15) to win the Junior High boys team title.  In the Varsity races Mandeville High School girls won the Girls team title with (43)  while St. Paul’s boys continued their dominance in capturing the Varsity boys  Northshore title with (24).

The St. Paul’s boys captured the team title at the Second Annual St. Paul’s Christian Brothers Cross Country Invitational. They scored a very low score of (22) to runner-up Jesuit with (67), Walker was third(86). In the girls action, the Dominican girls dominated the field of 116 runners to score (35) to Mandeville’s (71), Fontainebleau was third(97).

The Trafton Academy girls cross country teams captured three of the four team girls team titles, while Sumner won one of them  in Thursday’s 17th Annual Trafton Academy Middle School Cross Country Invitational held on the STA Campus in Hammond. Four hundred and five athletes from Livingston, Tangipahoa, St. Tammany and New Olreans competed in this year meet.
