SAN MARCOS, Texas – After two days of action at the Southland Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the Southeastern Louisiana women are in sixth place with 26 points. The men are in ninth place with nine and a half points.
T.J. Herbert finished fourth in the men's 100-meter dash (10.48 seconds) preliminaries and ninth in the men's 200-meter dash (21.28) preliminaries.
Abram Taylor placed fourth in the men's 100-meter hurdle (14.39) preliminaries and fifth in the men's 400-meter hurdles. Shaq Windley finished fourth in the men's 400-meter dash (47.33) preliminaries.
In field events,
Phillippe Moore placed sixth in the men's long jump (24 feet, 3.75 inches) and Jeff Milliron placed sixth in the men's shot put (54-01.75). Milliron also finished ninth in the men's hammer throw (160-00).
The best performance of the day belonged to Lady Lion
Nia Stewart. She finished second in the women's long jump with a distance of 19-11.00.
Michelle Ogashi placed sixth in the same event (19-03.25).
Shalicia Rochon finished fifth in the women's shot put (46-11.00).
Tamra Grayson placed seventh in the women's 400-meter dash (56.14) preliminaries and
Alicia Noel finished eighth in the women's 400-meter hurdle (1:00.86) preliminaries.
The meet concludes with Sunday's action on the campus of Texas State.
