HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana track and field team travels to Southern Miss Saturday for the Golden Eagle Classic in Hattiesburg, Miss.
Southeastern is coming off its first home meet in more than 15 years. The Lions and Lady Lions won eight events among their 19 season-best performances.
Heading into the final meet of the regular season,
Michelle Ogashi has the best women's triple jump (42 feet, 6.25 inches) in the Southland Conference.
Brittany Pfantz has the second-best women's pole vault (13-01.75).
On the men's side, the Lions also have some of the top Southland performers.
T.J. Herbert owns the second-best performance in the 100-meter dash (10.53 seconds) in the conference. Freshman Jeff Milliron's discus throw (177-03) at the Southeastern Lion Invitational is also the second-best in the conference this season.
The Southland Conference Outdoor Championships are May 11-13 in San Marcos, Texas.
