Women’s Sprint Medley Paces Warhawks on First Day of LSU Relays

 

BATON ROUGE, La. - ULM got a second-place finish from the women's sprint medley relay team and a pair of Warhawks qualified for Saturday finals on the first day of the LSU Relays Friday at Bernie Moore Stadium.

The women's medley team of junior Jacobi Wilson, senior Brittni Jenkins, sophomore Johneashia Diggs and freshman Tyreca Jackson clocked a time of 4:04.09 to finish just behind LSU (3:54.52).  In addition, Jenkins ran a time of 12.33 in the 100-meter dash prelims to finish ninth and qualify for the finals on Saturday.

Senior Denise Myers turned in a top-10 finish in the women's 5,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 18:47.52, and junior Danielle O'Donnell finished fourth in the women's high jump with a best leap of 5-5 (1.65 meters).

On the men's side, senior Jestin Miller qualified for the finals of the 400-meter hurdles by running a season-best time of 53.74 to finish fifth.

The Warhawks will wrap up action at the LSU Relays Saturday.
