Fekete Leads Way For Southeastern On Day Two

Busy day three to wrap up Louisiana Classics

Jessica Fekete turned in the fourth-best hammer throw in school history as competition wrapped up for Southeastern Louisiana on day two of the Louisiana Classics.

Fekete finished fifth in the women's hammer throw (174-06) and Brianna Golden placed 25th (122-07).

In the men's 10,000-meter run, Joseph LeGrange (33:59.54) and Jessie McDavitt (34:50.54) finished three and four in the event.

Tarvoris Mack placed seventh in the men's decathlon with 5,622 points and Diana Marcantel placed fifth in the women's heptathlon (3,833 points).

In the individual events that make up the heptathlon, Marcantel placed second in the 800-meter run and the long jump, third in the 100-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash and high jump, and fifth in the shot put and javelin throw.

Mack won the 110-meter hurdles portion of the decathlon. He finished third in the shot put, fourth in both the 100-meter and 400-meter dashes, fifth in the 1,500-meter run and the high jump, sixth in the long jump and seventh in the pole vault as well as discus and javelin throws.

The women's discus throw begins the field events for day three and the meet wraps up with the men's 4x400 relay.
