Southeastern looks to head into league meet on high note

MJ Ahmad and the Lions will be in action on Saturday
HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana men's and women's cross country teams return to action on Saturday, competing in the McNeese State Cowboy Stampede at the Enos Derbonne Sports Complex.

The meet will be Southeastern's last competition before the Southland Conference Championships in late October.

The Lady Lions are coming off a third place finish at last weekend's LSU Invitational. Senior

At LSU, sophomore Joseph LeGrange was the top finisher for the Lions, finishing 27th with a time of 29:10.4. LeGrange, who has been Southeastern's top performer in each of its last two meets, will be among of group of Lions competing that also includes senior MJ Ahmad, sophomore Paul Arthur, sophomore Shaquille Brown, junior Jesse McDavitt, sophomore Matt Mouton and freshman Corey O'Dell.

Southeastern will be looking for a strong performance to prepare it for the Southland Conference Championships, scheduled for Oct. 31 in Nacogdoches, Texas.
