Incoming Colonel Ingvild Vedde will take part in the Diamond League's stop in Stockholm on Friday
STOCKHOLM - Incoming Nicholls State University freshman track and field athlete
Ingvild Vedde will take to the track on Friday to compete as an amateur in the junior portion of the DN Galan track meet. Vedde, a native of Nesbyn, Norway will compete in the 1500 m.
The DN Galan is the eleventh of 14 stops on the prestigious Samsung Diamond League tour. Previously named the Golden League, the Samsung Diamond League forms the premier annual competition tour for professional track and field athletes with tour stops Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the United States. Vedde will take to the track at 11:40 a.m. CDT as part of the junior amateur field. Vedde heads into the 13-member field ranked second with an official seeding time of 4:43.00.
