MOBILE, Ala. – Two outdoor season-highs were established Saturday as Southeastern competed in the South Alabama Invitational.
Brittany Pfantz won the women's pole vault event (3.82 meters) and
Whitney Curry finished second in the women's 1500 meter run (4:49:49).
Southeastern had two other first-place finishes on the women's side as
Shalicia Rochon won the shot put with a distance of 13.47 meters and
Michelle Ogashi won the triple jump (12.17 meters).
Nia Stewart finished third in the women's long jump (5.66 meters) and Ogashi finished fourth (5.37).
Brittany Blackmon finished second in the women's 800 meter run (2:22.12) and Curry finished fourth (2:24.02).
In the women's javelin throw,
Chelsey Steele finished third (40.66 meters),
Petra Poznic finished fourth (37.14) and Rochon finished fifth (36.16).
The men had one other first-place finish as
Phillippe Moore won the long jump with a distance of 7.34 meters.
Paul Arthur finished fourth in the men's 1500 meter run (4:19.74).
Southeastern finished fourth in the men's 4 x 400 meter relay (3:25.06).
