AUSTIN, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana University track and field team will send 11 student-athletes to the prestigious 2011 84th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the University of Texas campus.
Southeastern, which sent seven men and four women to the event, opens competition on Thursday with action in the men's and women's 400-meter hurdles and the men's pole vault.
On the men's side,
Abram Taylor (400-meter hurdles) and
Kovey Simmons (pole vault) will compete on Thursday with
Tess Mullings,
Alicia Noel and
Judith Schultheis scheduled for the women's 400-meter hurdles.
Taylor will compete in the men's 110-meter hurdles on Friday along with
Michael Rheams (triple jump) and the men's 4x1,500-meter relay team (
Henry Rop,
Seth Cunningham,
Shaquille Brown and
Reese Lee).
Mullings and Schultheis are also entered in two events on Friday with the duo competing in both the 100-meter hurdles and the 4x400-meter relay. Noel (first leg) will join Schultheis and Mullings on the Lady Lions' relay team with
Tamra Grayson slated to run the third leg.
